Lannie Cox is a native Arkansan, living in Little Rock with his best friend and wife Laura.  He is the communications director for The American Heart Association in Arkansas.

In 1998, he graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a B.A. in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in creative writing.

He is visually impaired and has a Seeing Eye Dog named Xorro.  He has traveled throughout Europe and the U.S., but always seems to find his way back to Arkansas.

He grew up in Piggott, AR where Hemingway, interestingly enough, wrote a portion of A Farewell to Arms.
