(Lights up on
entire stage. Sub Ann is playing with her flowers. Ann is on the
couch drawing. Scott gets his guitar and harmonica. The actors playing
Scott and Sub Ann must work to find the tune for this scene together.
Scott starts fiddling around and finds a melody. It should be a loose
bluesy number. The feeling of the scene is that of a rainy lazy
Sunday. Sub Ann starts singing along. Ann continues to draw,
occasionally looking at Scott.)
SUB ANN: (singing)
There's rain in the butter. But I won't cry. I will not cry. Flowers in
the garden, color of the sky.
(The lyrics repeat
until the music comes to a natural end.)
ANN: I liked that one.
